Island County: Whidbey Gardening Workshop
March 2 @ 7:45 am - 4:00 pm
Join us for a fun and educational day filled with gardening classes, panel discussions, hands-on learning, demonstrations, and a Garden Marketplace.
The day begins with a Keynote presentation from Jessi Bloom, a popular, local author whose presentation will include thoughts on ecological landscaping, permaculture, and the concepts of rewilding and forest gardens.
Then choose from 40 classes, that include everything from composting to beginners’ tips, from tool selection to herb gardens, from small spaces to drought resistant gardens—there’s something for every gardener, whether novice or experienced, to learn and absorb.
Educational sessions are complemented throughout the day with other engaging activities —Plant clinics, demonstrations, a Garden Marketplace, and more. Attendees can enjoy refreshments served by our local 4-H group as they browse the Marketplace and gather with other gardeners.
The cost is $85 dollars, with boxed lunches available for purchase separately. Make-n-Take classes have an additional materials fee of $20.
