Pierce County: A Celebration of Pollinators

Pierce County Master Gardeners, in collaboration with the City of Puyallup, invite you – our neighbors, visitors, supporters and the just plain curious – to our free, family-friendly open house from 10am-2pm on Saturday, June 15. (Children’s activities begin at 11:30am after opening remarks).

We are honored to open our doors to the community as we host our inaugural “A Celebration of Pollinators” event, which helps kick off National Pollinator Week. As Master Gardeners, we’re committed to sharing environmental stewardship education as part of our mission with a priority focus on the health of pollinators. Our commitment made teaming up with Puyallup, a Bee City since 2016 and the second of only five bee cities in Washington, a natural choice.

Rain or shine, it’ll be a fun-filled, pollinator-centered day. We’ll offer prizes, children’s activities, chances to get your hands dirty – if you choose – during the Compost 101 presentation and so much more. We hope to see you there.
