Yakima County: Summer Classes in the Gardens

Nearly every Saturday in the growing season, Yakima Master Gardeners present FREE classes in one of our gardens. Many topics are taught, and the environments can’t be beat!

Our Demonstration Garden is in the Ahtanum Youth Park in Union Gap. The Heirloom Garden sits just outside our plant greenhouse. And the West Valley Food Garden can be found on South 123rd Ave. in west Yakima.

All classes begin at 10:00 on a Saturday; most last about one hour. Since we are in the garden, it is advisable to bring a chair and wear appropriate footwear.
