
Asotin County: Strategies for Successful Gardening at Any Age

Gardens and gardeners evolve over time. The view shifts, whether by design or nature. This balance fosters resilience, supporting both the garden and its caretaker.
Cathi Lamoreaux, WSU Spokane County Master Gardener will open the event with her presentation on “Gardening with a Flexible Plan”. Kurt Madison, WSU Spokane Master Gardener will share valuable information on “Container and Raised Bed Gardening”.
A break for lunch, included with the event, will feature various community displays centered on gardening followed by a panel discussion featuring Asotin and Garfield County Master Gardeners. Discussions will cover Gardeneing on a Slope, Starting a Community Garden, Small Space Vegetable Gardening and Gardening with Children.
Mark Heitstuman, WSU Asotin County Extension Director wil close the event with a presentation on Weed Management.
